San Marcos is known for its massive outlet malls…but wait…there’s so much more! Aside from shopping, and there’s a lot of shopping here, San Marcos still has a lot to offer.
San Marcos, about half an hour south of Austin, has the San Marcos River and other waterways where you can go tubing, boating, and kayaking. It also has a vibrant live music scene, with plenty of venues such as Riley’s Tavern, Cheatham Street Warehouse and Jack’s Roadhouse. San Marcos is also the home to Texas State University, with roughly 38,000 students. As for homes, it’s a fun place to live, with a variety of single-family homes and apartments.
It’s a quick trip down I-35 and nestled in between Austin and San Antonio, so maybe its time to check out what the buzz is all about.
