Several large homes under construction

To keep up with Austin’s accelerating job and population growth, real estate developers are working at a fast clip to build houses, townhouses and condos throughout the metro area.  In fact, 2018 was the second biggest year for new home construction in Central Texas since 2006, ranking sixth for total housing units permitted in the first six months of 2018. Most feel this building boom won’t be slowing down anytime soon. According to the Austin American-Statesman, scores of projects are slated to bring thousands of new homes, along with additional commercial and retail development in the area.
