I have moved over five times in the past six years. HH were our Realtors® in three occasions, and after we moved to Connecticut and had to deal with a new agent, we realized how professional and knowledgeable the agents of HH really are!!!
Our agent at Habitat Hunters was a gem. Back when my husband was in college, he hired him to help him find a place. When we moved in together 4 years ago, we asked for his help again, and now that we’re moving to a new place so that we can be closer to my husband’s office, we are using him again. We keep coming back to him because he’s so amazingly attentive, courteous, and responds quickly to emails and phone calls. He even picked up the phone when he was on vacation to help me out when I had a question! We’re still looking for a place (it’s a difficult process with me; I’m very picky) but he has been so patient that I thought I should write a great review for him, since we hadn’t done that yet despite using his services over the span of 5-6 years. We all know it sucks to try to find an apartment, but at least I know that we’ve got a nice, trustworthy Realtor person on our side. Best thing is, we don’t have to pay him a cent — wherever you rent from pays his commission 🙂 Free help — who doesn’t want that?!
Curt Nichols rented my house, on the east side near Bartholomew Park, in less than a week!!! Curt was personable, kind and professional. He marketed the house well and kept me informed throughout the process. I’m thrilled with his services and my new tenants! I am honored to have Curt Nichols as my Realtor and would use Habitat Hunters again in a heartbeat!!!
The market is tight so our Habitat Hunters agent proactively found us properties. Waiting for MLS to list is not enough.
Habitat Hunters is a wonderful alternative to the snobby, high-pressure agencies out there. They got me in the home I know is right for me because they were patient enough to show me most everything on the market.
My agent did an amazing job helping me find a great apartment under my budget. There was an issue with the leasing office switching my unit at the last minute– which really annoyed me—my agent, however, was so helpful and even negotiated my rent down. He got me a stellar deal, and he could not be a nicer guy. Needless to say I am absolutely happy with his work.
We refer everyone we talk to to Habitat Hunters! The agents are knowledgeable, efficient and accessible. They follow through with all necessary details.
If you’re looking to move to Austin, Curt Nichols at Habitat Hunters is your go to guy! My roommate and I are moving from Atlanta and contacted him a week before we visited Austin and he was able to fit us in and find us tons of options that were in our price range and the area we were hoping for. He was great with communicating us from afar and knew exactly what we wanted. Thanks Curt for finding us the perfect apartment to live in for our first year in Austin!!! We can’t wait!
I am new to the area and happened to meet Jody my second week living here. She has so much experience with real estate and gave me great tips about living in Austin. Very timely with staying in touch. I was able to speak to her about our price range and living requirements. My roommate & I are both in our mid-twenties, and still fairly new to renting apartments. Because of this, we weren’t always sure of certain questions to ask property owners. Our agent, Curt, always had the bases covered and our best interests at hand! He chose a good variety of places to show us around on a Saturday. He made great negotiations at the apartment properties. We ended the day after falling in love with two (out of seven) of the properties we saw that day. Overall, Habitat Hunters was excellent with their responsiveness and professionalism. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new home here in Austin.
Our Habitat Hunters story starts while my husband and I were still living in England. We needed to find somewhere to rent when we moved over to the US. Obviously living around the globe makes it rather difficult to review properties and to make matters worse, we have 4 little dogs that were coming over with us. We emailed various companies and as soon as they heard dogs (plural) they were all, Well bye, good luck with that…! I was beginning to lose hope but someone recommended Habitat Hunters on a forum and I got in touch. The agent put on our case worked so hard for us. The dog factor never seemed to be an issue, it limited our choices, sure, but he never made a big deal out of it like the other companies had. Every few days I’d pick a bunch of places I liked the look of and he’d go to them all and take photos so I could get to have a closer look. He’d even check the fence for me to see if our little dogs could get out or not. I’m quite picky, so our poor agent was running around for some time trying to find us the perfect rental. Considering I was around the world and could have easily just been window shopping with no intention of moving, he really went above and beyond the call of duty. Rental properties get snapped up quick in Austin, so once we found the perfect place (yes apparently they do exist!) he moved quickly to make it happen. Fast forward 3/4 of a year and our house has sold in England and we’re ready to buy in Austin. We call him back and off he goes again finding us lots of places to see. By now he has a pretty good idea of what we like, which makes everything a lot easier. It doesn’t take us long to fall in love with a beauty of a house near Cedar Park. The whole affair went through with his usual efficiency and attention to detail and completed today! We couldn’t be happier. Thanks to our agent and Habitat Hunters! 🙂
I wouldn’t change a thing about my transaction! Habitat Hunters does their job!
I am pleased with the way Habitat Hunters represented me as a buyer, and I am convinced they saved me money.
My agent was honest, energetic, as well as a dedicated professional. Their vast knowledge of the Austin area market and the sales process makes the transactions go smoothly. We would never consider using another company.
Habitat Hunters helped me secure one of the best properties in Austin.
We just got back to Houston. I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciated your help this weekend! You were very professional, patient, flexible, helpful and enjoyable to be around! Thanks for all you have done to help our family so far. We all need to hear what we are doing well! Have a great week!
I was rushed to find a new place and Curt spent the entire afternoon taking me around to different apartments. He found several awesome places that were in my preferred location and price range. Curt was knowledgeable and very organized, I would definitely recommend Curt/Habitat Hunters for anyone looking for a place in Austin!
Habitat Hunters helped me and my family make a long distance move to Austin and subsequently find a nice house in a good location at a reasonable price.
I have worked with Habitat Hunters each time I have moved within Austin in the last 10 years. They ensure that they understand my needs, thoroughly review opportunities available in the market in advance of our appointments, and give me the personal attention this type of decision requires.
It has been a pleasure working with everyone at Habitat Hunters. Habitat Hunters is an Austin company that has grown as the city has grown. Therefore, they know the Austin market.
Overall, they have the knowledge and understanding of both the market as well as my interests, they are thorough as well as efficient, and provide the personal touch so many similar companies are lacking. I thoroughly recommend them!
