I am so happy with my new place! I don’t move very often and I had some definite ideas about what I needed. Knowing the market is tight right now, I decided to enlist some professional help. I was referred one of their full service real estate agents, Betsy Buecker, and she was amazing. I’m not a huge review writer, but when I have a great experience to share, I can get a little crazy.
Trying to find and visit a good selection of places on my own (that would actually work) would not have been a good use of my time and not nearly as fun. Betsy genuinely enjoys what she does and that makes a huge difference Big plus: She’s lived in Austin for 35 years and is incredibly knowledgeable.
Betsy was direct about what I could and could not find for my parameters, and spent a lot of time researching the area that I wanted before we even made the rounds. I got to see everything I could see in my preferred area and few bargains that I probably would not have found on my own. In the end, a few more minutes on the road meant being so much happier in the place I live.
The company was great and Betsy was so much fun to work with. She’s an expert in finding what you need and has the interior design instincts to make sure that you don’t pass up on finding the right place.
I was so impressed with my agent. I came in not knowing what to expect and she helped me find the perfect place. I could not be happier! So glad I came to Habitat Hunters! I have a great studio apartment and recommend anyone looking for a place to stop by here
You might say I’m in the process of starting over. However, as with any start over, I had very specific ideas of how I wanted to do that. Enter my agent, from Habitat Hunters. She probably took me to half a dozen flats over the course of the week before we came to one that was perfect. There were a few setbacks, but she didn’t seem annoyed or frustrated or anything but the perfect Realtor. Hopefully I won’t have to find a new place for some time, but I know I’d feel comfortable with Habitat Hunters on my side if I did.
Our agent with Habitat Hunters is a God sent angel. We came to Austin to view homes before our move. She was a tour guide, comedian, and realtor all-in-one!!! It was such a great experience working with her. None of the homes we viewed worked out, so she had to be our eyes and ears while we were still in Oklahoma City and she found us the perfect home in the most PERFECT neighborhood. We just went for a run at the park (which was awesome) and saw 7 deer chilling in front of a nearby home. The house has everything we were looking for. Even the extra closet space I wanted!! Thanks so much!!!! If you are looking for homes in the Austin area, you MUST have Habitat Hunters. I don’t write reviews often and I definitely don’t brag about people. So trust me!! We will be contacting them when we are ready to buy a home. They’re the best!
Habitat Hunters is great. Really. I’ve used them twice, and they have delivered both times. The best part about them, is that they have a unique Austin flavor, which you can’t say about a lot real estate agencies in Austin. We walked in, not knowing how to go about the process, and we were helped promptly and effectively. Within a few minutes of filling out the paperwork, we were invited to sit and chat a moment about what we were looking for. The rest is history. Our agent didn’t shove a bunch of garbage in front of us and just say here, pick one, instead she sent us some awesome listings she found, let us look and choose on our own, and then guided us when we needed it. She is not only good at her job, but she has a bunch of great stories to tell. If you’re looking for someone to find you a home in Austin, whether you’re used to our weird brand of professionalism or not, Habitat Hunters is a great choice.
I LOVE Habitat Hunters! Everyone I know who has ever worked with them has been very pleased. They are very professional, they know the city, they’re friendly, and they’re helpful! I recently worked with one of their agents to find a rental property, and she was as sweet as can be, and sooooo helpful. We even looked at a house with a really cool lofted area that was only accessible by a steep, scary ladder…and she did not even hesitate to climb that ladder (in a dress) to check it out! Haha, it was classic. My boyfriend and I are now considering buying a home, and we will definitely be asking her to help us with that search 🙂
My agent is a stellar resource. She knows the central Austin market VERY well, looks for just the right renters, and keeps in constant contact with everyone involved. I was referred to her to begin with and pass her name on whenever I can knowing she’ll impress. She has a great attitude and gets results.
Excellent service! I was truly inspired by the Realtors’ dedication, knowledge, and vibrant personalities. My agent took the time to understand my needs and went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule and assist me in so many ways, more than what was expected. She was incredible!! I will be sure to tell all my friends and family about their service. Thank you Habitat Hunters for going above and beyond to assist me. I truly appreciate your exemplary efforts.
My boyfriend and I recently got new jobs in Austin. Our move was so stressful because we wanted to find the perfect house, but had a very small window of time. Also, we couldn’t see many houses in person due to the distance. Luckily, our agent with Habitat Hunters was our eyes and ears that we so desperately needed. She was absolutely top-notch! She went out of her way and spent countless hours determined to find what we needed in time. She is so friendly, knowledgeable, and persistent. The perfect combination for a Realtor! We joked that she was our tour guide as well as our Realtor because of all the information she had for us, a great resource. If you are looking for a house in the Austin area, you need Habitat Hunters in your corner! We could not be happier with our new home!
Betsy was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Catholic school education, so she may talk funny, but her grammar is impeccable. After 2 years in Boston at Emerson University studying to be an actress, she moved with her family to Texas, finishing her college education at UT with a Bachelor of Science from the School of Education (cum laude, we might add). Her acting skills came in handy as a teacher in East Austin. Her captive audience included generations of families that she passionately and patiently taught for 27 years.
Why she's a Habitat Hunter
Betsy is an Open House junkie and has owned and rented townhomes and houses all over the city since the early 80’s. She loves the real estate profession and brings a sense of humor and calm to what can be a frustrating experience. She enjoys discovering new upcoming neighborhoods as well as helping her clients to find the right part of town for their lifestyle.
When her husband became ill, Betsy started painting and making jewelry as a way to be quietly productive and amused while keeping a close watch on him. Over the years, she’s surprised herself with some really cool earrings, along with some really juvenile art.
